Requirements
- Juris Doctor in Law or related field of study
- Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Foreign Legal Consultant, Assistant Vice President/Counsel, Associate Counsel, Senior Attorney, or related occupation
- Three (3) years of experience leading design of large-scale operational change management projects
- Experience designing and developing interactive reports and presentations using data manipulation, data structuring, and data design flow
- Experience with query optimization using Pitchpro and Power-BI
- Experience using Icertis for AI-powered automated contract drafting, contract preparation, and contract data review, extraction, and analysis
- Experience storing content via iManage
- Experience searching statutes and case law precedents using Westlaw or Thomson Reuters equivalent
- Experience searching statutes and case law precedents using LexisNexis
- Experience managing end-to-end legal transactions
- Experience delivering large-scale initiatives in process innovation, design, and technology
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual agreements
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders
- A law license in any global jurisdiction
- Foreign Legal Consultant Certification by the Ohio Supreme Court, or alternatively, submission of an application to register with the Ohio Supreme Court as a Foreign Legal Consultant within 90 days of hiring
Responsibilities
- Manage the book of legal work supporting the Corporate Legal Practice Groups
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the Practice Group heads and their teams
- Identify key legal and operational issues, gather data, develop actionable recommendations, and create effective performance metrics to manage the business globally
- Design and develop interactive reports and presentations to demonstrate key business data
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies
- Develop and implement standardized templates and processes for contract management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide legal guidance on various agreements and transactions
- Search statutes and case law precedents to ensure that all legal documents are accurate, complete, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Understand the current state, advise on opportunities to redesign processes, and leverage technology to achieve operational efficiencies
- Syndicate solutions and report on the progress of ongoing projects across Practice Groups in order to achieve operational excellence
- Determine the scope of new efforts, direct strategic thinking, and develop an approach and structure for the analysis required to achieve key deliverables
- Partner with diverse stakeholders to identify current state analysis, metrics analysis, and dashboards as needed
- Achieve measurable targets as established in project charters and ensure project success
- Conduct regular updates with Program/Project sponsors and Practice Group heads
