Requirements
- Seven (7) years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience;
- OR
- Four (4) years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Proven leadership and team management skills in a structured or institutional setting
- In-depth knowledge of correctional systems, procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Strong skills in strategic planning, crisis management, and operational oversight
- Ability to analyze security risks, implement policies, and lead institutional improvements
- Proven ability to develop and implement security policies and emergency response plans
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong decision-making abilities
- Experience in budgeting, resource management, and program evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all aspects of operations within one of the three key areas: Security, Special Housing, or General Services
- Managing daily activities and supervising staff
- Ensuring the effective delivery of services that align with institutional goals
- Collaborating closely with other departments and leadership team to maintain institutional order and security
- Analyzing data and offering recommendations to support decision-making
- Making sound, timely decisions to resolve issues and respond to questions regarding operations
- Balancing administrative responsibilities with the demands of a complex correctional environment.
