Requirements

• Earned doctorate (PhD, EdD) in Sport Management, Sport Administration, or closely related field. Candidates in ABD status also encouraged to apply.
• Ability to conduct and publish scholarly research along a systematic line of inquiry in Sport Management
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Ability to create and foster relationships with sport organizations in the local community.
• Must provide employment eligibility verification as required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Courses in the following content areas are preferred: a) sport leadership, b) social issues in sport, c) event management, d) sport finance, and e) other courses within the program as assigned.
• Proposing new courses in areas of expertise.
• Teaching twelve credit hours per semester (Fall and Spring).
• Mentoring students and organizing student experiences and industry activities on and off campus.
• Collaborating with other faculty members on programmatic initiatives.
• Participating in university service, with a major focus on planning and executing the University of Miami Sport Industry Conference.
