Requirements
- American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS)-certified surgeon
- Thoracic oncology-track training by an ACGME-thoracic surgery training program
- Completed training within the last 5 years
- Independently practiced general thoracic surgery with emphasis on thoracic oncology
- Ability to obtain a general medical license in the State of Florida
- DEA registration
Responsibilities
- Develop a clinical and academic thoracic surgery practice at various affiliated hospitals
- Participate in teaching surgical residents, thoracic surgery fellows, and medical students
- Provide direct care and participate in support services
- Attend and supervise outpatient offices and clinics according to existing coverage and on-call schedules
- Have a track record of publishing in major, peer-reviewed journals
- Have a history of research funding
