Requirements
- MD Degree and ACGME US Internal Medicine Internship and Residency
- Completed 2-year ACGME US Nephrology Fellowship
- Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology (or board eligible)
- Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
- Valid DEA licensure
- Current ACLS and BLS certification required
Responsibilities
- Care of private patients in the outpatient clinic setting
- Coverage of inpatient consult coverage in multiple hospital venues
- Weekend on-call services
- Dialysis unit attending
- Participate in the educational and training activities of the nephrology and medicine programs
- Teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students at conferences, in clinic, and inpatient and dialysis units
- Independent coverage of inpatient consults and concurrent care at JMH and UMH
- Provide care to dialysis patients on contracted dialysis units
- Assigned evening, weekend and holiday call proportionate to other physicians
- Assigned proportionate level outpatient clinics at UHealth locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of US ACGME 2-year nephrology fellowship
- Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
- Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
