Requirements

  • Ph.D. in physics, medical physics or closely related field
  • (Assoc. Professor) three years as an assistant professor or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop a research program
  • Teach classroom and laboratory/practicum courses within the CAMPEP-accredited medical physics program
  • Supervise MS and PhD students
  • Provide service to the department
  • Establish an independent research team
  • Develop collaborations both within and beyond the Program faculty

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board eligible or Board certified in medical physics or health physics
  • (Assoc. Professor) Extensive publication record
  • (Assoc. Professor) Evidence of excellence in leadership, research and scholarly activities in medical physics or health physics
  • (Assoc. Professor) Teaching experience
  • (Assoc. Professor) National and/or international reputation
  • (Assoc. Professor) Experience in student mentoring
  • (Assoc. Professor) Board certification in medical physics or health physics
