Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related discipline required; an advanced degree in education/educational leadership strongly preferred
- Current valid Principal and Teacher license required
- Two or more years of experience in successful school administration/instructional leadership/virtual environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment practices, and instructional strategies aligned with state and national standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use data to inform decision-making and instructional practices
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all students
- Experience with Local, State, and Federal laws and mandated reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality
- Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Valid driver’s license and ability to perform occasional local and in-state travel
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the principal and administrative team to establish and maintain a positive and inclusive school culture that fosters student success and supports academic achievement
- Assist in the development and implementation of school policies, programs, and procedures to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment
- Support teachers in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques to enhance student engagement and academic outcomes
- Supervise and evaluate teachers and staff, providing constructive feedback and support for their professional growth (OTES credential required)
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and community members to foster strong partnerships and enhance student support systems
- Assist in the coordination of student activities, events, and programs that promote social-emotional development, student leadership, and extracurricular involvement
- Manage student discipline in accordance with school policies and district guidelines, ensuring a fair and consistent approach
- Support the implementation of data-driven decision-making processes to monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted interventions
- Stay current with educational trends, research, and best practices to promote continuous improvement and innovation within the school
- Participates in professional development activities at the local, regional, state, and national levels
- Collaborate with all departments in support of students
- Travels to support testing efforts and school events within the state as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in successful school administration/instructional leadership/virtual environment preferred
- Experience with K-12 online learning
- Experience with Career Technical Education
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a leadership role, such as department chair, grade-level team lead, or similar
