Requirements
- An Associate’s degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.
- Proven experience in planning and implementing successful events and projects.
- Computer literacy, proficient with Windows software packages and databases.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and collaborative and appropriate telephone and in person demeanor.
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/assignments, work under pressure and meet competing and established deadlines.
- Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work well with others across various communication channels.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support for the LAG team.
- Support the planning and execution of a premier alumni volunteer solicitation program.
- Assist in the coordination of communications, volunteer engagement, and stewardship activities.
- Participate in Giving Day efforts, including logistical and administrative support.
- Respond to a range of ad hoc requests and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including expense processing, reimbursement coordination, and database support (e.g., list generation and data entry).
- Serve as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including alumni, volunteers, and campus partners, offering front-line customer service and triaging inquiries as appropriate.
- Exercise sound judgment in referring complex or non-routine matters to appropriate team members.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks in collaboration with other LAG staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in the engagement and development field.
- Four years of professional office experience with a strong customer service element or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience supporting the work of Director level staff and a team.
- Knowledge of Cornell and Experience with AA&D related tools and software, i.e.; PeopleSoft, OBIEE, Tableau, IModules, etc, is welcomed.
