Requirements

  • Five (5) years of insurance / finance (FP&A)
  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, MBA preferred
  • Experience with insurance processes
  • Ability to work across all functions / levels (desk to executive) of the organization
  • Comfort with ambiguity and creating framework / solutions to new initiatives
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with leaders across the organization to support development and preparation of long-term financial and operational models, including revenue and expense forecasting models to improve business planning, and other analysis that drive new initiatives utilizing advanced Excel skills
  • Key player in annual financial budgeting, working across operational and financial models
  • Owns analysis process from data identification – querying – cleansing – analyzing – reporting key findings
  • Adept at financial modeling including sensitivity analysis to quantify varying revenue and expense outcomes of initiatives
  • Provides analysis of recent performance and trends including monitoring and development of relevant KPIs, to measure and monitor returns.
  • Leveraging findings from analysis, recommends and implements strategic initiatives that simplify and scale the business.
  • Organize and manipulate quantitative data to identify and explain trends, problems, and root causes.
  • Work to enhance the management reporting framework that supports the growth of business units, including the design of new reports to provide innovative information to manage the business more effectively utilizing PowerBi
  • Develops and maintains financial and operational models with sensitivity analyses around internal and external factors ensure they support overall business objectives
  • Ability to interpret varying types of datasets and translate to digestible and actionable end products for senior leaders
  • Work with senior leadership, product leaders, and business units to assess, identify, and prioritize performance reporting needs including key metrics.
  • Partners with centralized finance team on analysis of key revenue and expense drivers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a fast-growth enterprise or insurance agency, a plus
