Requirements
- 3+ years of actuarial experience with a proven record of success closely aligned with supporting a business.
- Near or recent ACAS/FCAS, near or recent ASA/FSA or individuals with actuarial experience not pursuing exams.
- Strong Excel skills required and knowledge of predictive modeling tools and methods a plus.
- Experience in pricing P&C commercial lines is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written, formal and informal; effective at communicating actuarial issues to non-actuarial partners.
- Strong project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead analysis, implementation, and communication of core actuarial work for MAE including loss ratio planning and rate filings.
- Build analytics that proactively identify business issues and perform analyses that address these issues. Communicate results in a manner that is understandable and most importantly, allows management to make operational changes where necessary.
- Provide actuarial opinions on profitability, including rate and price guidance.
- Provide support for and enhance the calculations/analyses underlying the rating / pricing methodology.
- Drive and enhance the partnership between Actuarial and the business functions.
