Requirements
- Read and interpret technical data packages, specifications, models and drawings for optical assemblies
- Experience in opto-mechanical assembly, alignment and optical system testing (MTF, line of sight, transmission, etc.)
- Cost estimating including process times, materials, and engineering effort to meet customer requirements
- Define, design, source, and commission fixtures, tools, and equipment for realizing product assembly & test specifications
- Produce detailed documentation of assembly processes and train operators on new projects
- Create ERP routings for production assemblies
- Support assembly operations with strong analytical, root cause and corrective action, and continuous improvement skills with a view to reduction of assembly touch time
- Identify process automation opportunities, perform ROI assessment on identified change, implement change along with associated members of the broader engineering group

- Knowledge of quality management systems: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC
