Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in Application integration utilizing interface engine technology
- Thorough understanding of industry standard message formats. Examples include: HL/7, X12, FHIR or XML
- Full life-cycle application development utilizing IT methodologies. Programming language examples include: Java, COBOL, TCL, CCL or Perl
- Experience in operating systems (i.e. Unix), communication protocols (TCP/IP, FTP), relational database management or network management
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve both technical and process related issues
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Analyzes moderately complex business problems and constructs practical solutions for project stakeholders. May provide recommendations to clients for application integration and system improvement.
- Translates conceptual design business solutions into detailed application interface specifications.
- Provides input into project timelines. Ensures projects are completed successfully within deadlines.
- Develops and executes detailed test plans to ensure that unit, regression, integration and stress testing is completed successfully.
- Keeps all project stakeholders apprised of project status and outstanding issues.
- Constructs documentation necessary for change control, maintenance and support of application interfaces.
- Works independently with moderate supervision and can manage less complex projects consistently.
- Participates in 24×7 production support “on call” hot pager rotation and can solve the majority of issues independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Team members will obtain within 6 months and maintain annual educational requirements for EPIC certification(s) as required by department.
