Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Basic understanding of applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations
  • Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repairs, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircrafts
  • Support the necessary checks in regards to the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft
  • Test and replace defective or faulty parts
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to perform basic diagnosis on parts to be replaced
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the hanger or workshop
  • Demonstrate knowledge in one of the three main components of aviation maintenance including airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Power plant (A&P) components

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
  • Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
