Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other applied science
  • Three or more years’ work experience developing C++ software
  • Work experience developing and debugging networked Linux applications (TCP, UDP, Unix domain sockets)
  • Good working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
  • Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time
  • The position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment
  • Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with all groups of clients
  • Able to work under pressure and accept supervision

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a large C++ signal processing codebase
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external users of the codebase
  • Assist in periodic test and integration of the codebase into external systems
  • Design, develop, configure, test, and integrate other software to meet requirements
  • Other related functions as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Java
  • Experience with acoustic signal processing and/or machine learning
  • Experience developing user interfaces, especially with Qt
  • Experience with CORBA and other middleware
  • Experience using git for version control
  • Experience virtualizing and/or containerizing network applications
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0
