Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject
- 8+ years of relevant, progressively responsible work experience, to include high consequence operations
- 3+ years’ experience working on console in control rooms for spaceflight, aircraft flight test, or similar environments
- Experience monitoring real-time data streams during launch or high consequence operations, identifying deviations from expected parameters, quickly assessing severity, and determining potential impact and possible mitigations
- Familiarity with systems and subsystems common to aircraft or space vehicles
- Experience with formal communications protocols such as those used in control rooms or aviation. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders to include off-nominal scenarios and risk to launch controllers, launch directors, and other stakeholders.
- Comfortable making safety-critical decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Ability to implement corrective actions and recommend path forward often in consultation with other launch team members
- Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically while managing changing priorities. Ability to lead and coordinate a team of engineers during a critical anomaly situation, making quick decisions under pressure.
- Experience generating and implementing process documentation, tracking issues and corrective actions, and implementing creative solutions to complex problems
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a technical subject
- Extensive experience in launch operations with background in launch vehicle systems, including propulsion, guidance, and avionics
- Technical expertise and understanding of engineering principles and the specific characteristics of the New Glenn launch vehicle and propulsion systems (BE-4, BE-3U, thrusters, etc.)
- 10+ years of relevant, progressively responsible work experience, to include multiple high consequence operations
- 5+ years experience working on console in control rooms for spaceflight, aircraft flight test, or similar environments
- Experience working Launch Operations
- Experience working as a Front Room Console Operator, Console Lead, or Test Director
- Experience as an instructor or trainer for high risk, high consequence operations
