Requirements
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited school for anesthesia assistants (18month or 24month program)
- Current certification from the NCCAA
- Current licensure from the Ohio State Medical Board
- Current ACLS certification
- Must be eligible to obtain clinical privileges as designated by the OSUMC Corporate Credentialing Office.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate excellence in all areas of anesthesia practice including but not limited to anesthesia case management, staff education, and clinical research
- Manage complex, unpredictable anesthesia situations
- Be competent in technical, cognitive, and interpersonal skills required to serve patients receiving anesthesia care and services
- Practice within established Medical Center guidelines, statutes established by the state medical board, and adhere to policies, procedures, and protocols
- Collaborate with an MDA in the anesthetic care of each patient.
