Requirements
- Healthcare industry experience, bonus points for working directly with health plans and PBMs
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, engineering, or related fields, with 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Expertise in Python, dbt, and SQL – we use BigQuery as our data warehouse
- Professional experience with Looker
- Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP
- Knowledge of the analytics engineering development process (modeling, change management, and other best practices)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to colleagues and partners
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
Responsibilities
- Lead a small full-stack analytics engineering team – we use dbt, Python, SQL, and Looker to transform raw data from application databases, public datasets, and other platforms into actionable reports and datasets for clients and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with our health plan clients and cross-functional teams to define project requirements and priorities
- Drive best practices in analytics engineering to maintain consistent delivery, high-quality reports, and scalable solutions
- Recruit and onboard new team members, fostering their growth and development
