Responsibilities

  • Works with leadership, staff, and physicians within VMG Clinical Operations areas.
  • Operations of clinical trials such as assuring billing functions are done correctly.
  • Staffing needs to accommodate the growth of programs.
  • Manage space needs for both on-site and off-site program growth. Manage ancillary areas to address programmatic growth needs. Coordinate faculty growth/recruitment plan to space and resource planning.
  • Responsible for the administrative support to the managers.
  • Manages the development of tools and maintenance and monitoring for appropriate use by the providers and staff for projects.
  • Development of practice guidelines, common order sets, and documentation forms to ensure that care is safe, efficient, cost-effective, timely, patient-centered, and evidence-based.
  • Establishes an environment of trust, fairness, and consistency with the healthcare team members. Communicates effectively orally and in writing while sharing information on project value with all groups involved.
  • Develops, leads, and collaborates with multidisciplinary performance teams to identify and address issues, solve problems, and evaluate outcomes related to projects.
  • Manages operational improvement of the Access center including patient cycle times and wait times, extended infusion hours, space needs, template utilization, Nurse practitioner utilization, and staffing needs.
  • Analyzes service line operational improvement projects by collating data and information to manage ongoing growth.
  • Serves as the key liaison to Informatics, ITS, and other support departments to ensure efficient and effective support is provided to VMG Operations.
  • Collects and analyzes data to support budgeting decisions.
  • Assists in analysis of case mix and service line opportunities providing input into operational requirements for management of growth.
  • Pro forma development to support capital requests or other special projects.
  • Monitors performance of VMG Clinical Operations to budgets and formulates recommendations to the PCC Administrator, Medical Director, and CEO.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, MHA, or MPH is strongly preferred.
  • Cardiovascular and Heart and Vascular experience preferred.
  • Ambulatory Practice management experience preferred.
  • Cardiology practice management experience preferred.
  • Business development and transaction experience preferred.
  • Physician recruitment experience preferred.
  • Epic Experience is preferred.
  • Academic Medical experience preferred.
