Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science or agriculture preferred
- Livestock experience required
- Swine or cattle experience preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Overnight travel required
Responsibilities
- Handle livestock
- Sort, count, weigh, tattoo, and pen all animals in a hog yard environment
- Learn Tyson Pork Procurement Programs, carcass merit, kill sheet information, weight docks, and other buying procedures
- Act as a station relief buyer in absence of manager for training and vacation relief
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science or agriculture preferred
