Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • US Secret Clearance required prior to start

Responsibilities

  • Inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer’s specifications and government regulations
  • Identify any breach of standards for airworthiness
  • Conduct all in-process inspections and final inspections
  • Approve return to service of all work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a QA role; the ability to mentor and guide others
  • Hold an FAA Inspectors Authorization (IA) or meet the requirements to achieve
  • Thorough understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
  • Comprehensive understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations
  • Prior experience with first article inspections and/or aircraft modifications
  • Experience on Embraer A-29 Aircraft
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
