Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
- Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- US Secret Clearance required prior to start
Responsibilities
- Inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer’s specifications and government regulations
- Identify any breach of standards for airworthiness
- Conduct all in-process inspections and final inspections
- Approve return to service of all work
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a QA role; the ability to mentor and guide others
- Hold an FAA Inspectors Authorization (IA) or meet the requirements to achieve
- Thorough understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
- Comprehensive understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations
- Prior experience with first article inspections and/or aircraft modifications
- Experience on Embraer A-29 Aircraft
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
