Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
- 5 years of professional experience required in the field of aviation with focus in engine performance and operability analysis, condition-based maintenance and engine gas path trend monitoring.
- Very good knowledge of English to read and understand documentation and technical terms, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
- Experience in aircraft engine performance analysis and delivery of engine health management/ trend monitoring services.
- Experience with Agile software development standards using GitHub, JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong computer programming skills using Python and C#.
- Experience with application of statistical based tools in MATLAB and data mining and machine learning algorithms.
- Strong analytical skills and highly motivated with effective problem-solving skills and collaborative with strong teamwork skills.
- Proficient at handling several analytical tasks concurrently.
- Proficient in data modeling techniques and systems engineering projects.
- Experience with code verification and configuration management processes.
- Proficient in deploying application code on cloud platforms such as AWS and Databricks.
- Proficient with design and development of big data visualization tools/BI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engine performance deterioration analysis and detect engine system level anomalies compared to original product design standards.
- Conduct engine control system fault/event analysis and reporting.
- Plan and support engine health monitoring prognostic algorithm development and validation testing.
- Support development and update of analytics standard work and best practices documents.
- Conduct engine/aircraft operational mission usage analysis in close collaboration with Customer Service groups.
- Develop new engine full flight data processing scripts and prognostic AI/ML code using Python.
- Support integrated product technical meetings with P&WC engineering discipline groups for selected engine models.
- Build and deploy data visualization dashboards and BI solutions in a cloud platform for internal and external customer reporting.
- Monitor full flight engine operational data processing pipelines and conduct data quality investigations and corrective actions as applicable.
