Requirements
- extensive experience with electronics installations such as for air to ground radios, transmission cables, waveguide, data cables, and equipment rack preparation and installation
- familiar with installation quality and safety best practices
- able to read, interpret, and implement project drawings, specifications, and client orders and standards
- experience with the use of basic electrical and electronics test equipment
- 100% travel is required throughout the United States, its territories and possessions, and anywhere federally owned and operated air traffic equipment is operated
- must pass government background check to qualify
- must be able to pass fleet driver motor vehicle history check as well as DOT physical requirements
- 8 plus years of experience required
- high school diploma required
Responsibilities
- works as part of an installation crew installing new or upgrading existing equipment and systems such as navigational aids, air traffic communications systems, and weather monitoring equipment
- completes projects on airports and at remote facilities in various environments such as within air traffic control towers and on airfields
- involves electronics systems installation, minor civil construction tasks, and will support electrical equipment installation tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- terrific customer service skills – a history of working directly with customers and site owners
- computer skills – experience working with Microsoft Office for daily and weekly reporting
