Requirements

  • PhD in Aerosol Science, Applied Physics, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in analytical instrumentation, aerosol science, or environmental monitoring.
  • Demonstrated expertise in particle measurement technologies and/or sensor systems is strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a systems-level engineering perspective.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with regulated industries (e.g., environmental, industrial hygiene, pharmaceutical) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for real-time particulate analyzer technologies.
  • Lead innovative new product development initiatives from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer needs.
  • Maintain direct contacts at regulatory agencies in the US and around the globe, collaborating on technical subjects related to advancing the science of aerosol measurements.
  • Manage sustaining engineering activities, including design improvements, issue resolution, regulatory compliance, and product lifecycle support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and marketing to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.
  • Guide root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for field issues and performance optimization.
  • Translate customer, regulatory and market needs into actionable engineering requirements and specifications.
  • Stay informed of scientific advancements, regulatory trends, and competitive technologies to inform product strategy and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications
