Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field, preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in related field preferred
  • Results oriented with proven execution experience
  • Negotiation experience, preferred
  • Project Management experience, preferred
  • Knowledge/experience in category management including technical product knowledge, cost drivers, related industry dynamics and market trends
  • Proven effectiveness in project and process management to execute sourcing strategy with cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at various levels of expertise in a global landscape
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with an ability to interpret data and analytics in support of a cohesive sourcing strategy
  • Solid presentation abilities, including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Travel 10-15%

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing supplier escalations driven by site buyer/planner including assurance of supply, pricing discrepancies and accounts payables
  • Responsible for managing VIP pipeline accuracy through conducting stakeholder (Finance, GSM, Site) alignment meetings and subsequent project status reporting
  • Support development of sourcing strategies by utilizing strong process and project management skills
  • Develop and execute requests for proposals, information, or quotes (RFx)
  • Develop and execute site-specific addressable (non-contractual) supplier inflation mitigation plans
  • Support and lead supplier negotiations as required
  • Conduct site supplier discoveries and execute supplier due diligence
  • Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage scale and drive cost savings
  • Establish a collaborative environment with key suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize supplier performance and innovation
  • Review contract requirements to negotiate critical terms and conditions aligned with sourcing strategy
  • Supporting supplier selection by being familiar with manufacturing, quality and supply chain processes
  • Drive supplier performance management by utilizing supplier dashboards and reporting
  • Participate and represent sourcing in alignment with GSM as required at scheduled site QBRs and budget discussions
