Requirements
- PMHNP-BC required for Nurse Practitioners
- MSN or DNP with Post graduate certificate in psychiatry and mental health if specialty other than psychiatry
- Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in psychiatry from the NCCPA for Physician Assistants
- Doctorate level education – DMSC for PAs
- Post-graduate certificate in psychiatry and mental health for PAs
- Complete post-graduate residency (clinical hours) in psychiatry for PAs
- Complete 10,000 hours of clinical practice in mental health for PAs
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- BLS certification and DEA
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
