Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to Aircraft Engine Controls Systems and Software development
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to secure and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs
- Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to create systems with specific desired behaviors
- Expand knowledge in your technical discipline to execute policy/strategy effectively
- Possess a basic understanding of key business drivers to accomplish tasks efficiently
- Exercise some autonomy in decision-making within a defined framework
- Utilize good interpersonal skills to lead junior teams if necessary
- Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Familiarity with NPSS Simulation tools and Python
- Ability to work effectively in a structured team environment
- Passion for developing Aircraft Engine Controls methodologies
- Ability to work on classified projects and maintain confidentiality
- Relevant experience in developing Engine Controls Systems requirements
- Relevant experience developing Engine Controls logic using the MATLAB/Simulink environment
- Relevant experience in coaching and mentoring less-experienced engineers
- Relevant experience in documenting Controls System logic and software development processes
