Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles
- Advanced knowledge of AWS services, especially EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation/CDK
- Strong Terraform or other IaC experience
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Experience designing and supporting CI/CD systems
- Familiarity with container runtimes (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes)
- Understanding of systems observability and monitoring stacks
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, CDK, or similar tools
- Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar), supporting high-velocity engineering teams
- Champion containerization and orchestration solutions (ECS, EKS, or similar)
- Collaborate with security and engineering to implement guardrails, IAM roles, and secure networking patterns
- Improve and standardize observability tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry)
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive incident response and reliability initiatives
- Document infrastructure designs and evangelize best practices across engineering
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tools like Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Prometheus
- Background in networking, especially VPC design and service mesh technologies
- Exposure to SOC2 or other compliance frameworks
- Experience with developer portals or internal tooling for self-service infrastructure
- Contributions to open source projects or a personal portfolio of tooling projects
