Requirements
- A high school diploma and five years relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services; or a bachelor’s degree and three years experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the implementation of a new optimization process for OGC (“MUSC Legal Connect”); manages the OGC portal’s triage process, ensuring matters are quickly routed to the appropriate team member and completed within a timely manner, while providing regular status updates for optimal customer satisfaction.
- Implements, coordinates, organizes and maintains a robust electronic system, indexes contracts, lawsuits and other legal files, including pertinent background emails for expedient retrieval of documentation for the General Counsel, and for availability for use with assigned projects and future needs; compiles and files the General Counsel’s personal meeting notes, assigns or coordinates appropriate follow up from meetings; assists with the coordination of the OGC’s electronic matter management and contract management process via utilization of various programs (Symplr, LawVu, ProLaw).
- Assists MUSCP Corporate Paralegal with performance of duties required by the office of the MUSCP Secretary and MHP Secretary, which duties include preparation of corporate meeting minutes and other Board materials, extensive management of and communications regarding MUSCP biennial Director and Officer elections process, annual members’ meetings, and other Board processes and priorities.
- Responsible for day-to-day administrative support functions needed to maintain business operations for MUSCP General Counsel’s office and the MUSCP Executive Team members. Anticipates the needs of and supports the General Counsel, including scheduling, accounts payable, personnel, and purchasing. Serve as a liaison with other MUSCP senior leaders and leaders within the University, Hospital System, Affiliates, and RHN administrative offices, external counsel, and external agencies.
