Requirements
- Master’s degree in education required with a focus on language and literacy or TESOL.
- At least 3+ years of prior experience teaching multilingual learners in PK-12 schools.
Responsibilities
- Teach EECLD 6007 Content Language, Literacies & Lit Pk-12 during the specified weekends.
- Introduce a research-based instructional framework for teaching content language, literacies, and literature in PrK-12 multilingual/multicultural contexts.
- Develop skills in teaching language demands of viewing, listening, speaking, reading, and writing varied school genres to multilingual learners at different developmental and language proficiency levels.
- Analyze children’s literature, informational texts, and graphic novels, and teach language expectations of content curricula in inclusive multicultural classrooms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting teacher development as a course instructor or facilitator of professional development courses/workshops is preferred.
