Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Research, communicate and document accounting issues and related solutions, in support of Blackstone and BXPE’s public filings in coordination with controllership, operations, investor relations, FP&A and legal and compliance teams
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures for both GAAP and non-GAAP measures and metrics
  • Provide accounting and structuring advice on proposed transactions in consideration of company’s reporting objectives
  • Assist controllership and SEC reporting teams with preparation of required SEC filings
  • Follow development of relevant US GAAP accounting standard setting at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, rule-making at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), IFRS accounting standard setting at the International Accounting Standards Board and related interpretations from Big 4 accounting firms. Determine applicability to Blackstone, Blackstone Funds (including BXPE) and our portfolio companies. Where applicable, lead implementation efforts at Blackstone for new standards, rules and interpretations related to US GAAP and non-GAAP measures
  • Assist in adherence to SEC independence rules by coordinating with accounting firms, business units and portfolio companies, preparing training materials, and designing policies and procedures
