Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • CPA, CMA, or ERP certification (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success with 7+ years of hands-on experience in accounting systems, financial operations, or process improvement roles within financial setting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau).
  • Experience with process automation tools (Alteryx, UiPath, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Systems thinker, strong collaborator, and clear communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Systems team to administer, maintain, and enhance accounting and ERP systems to support financial operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through system improvements and automation.
  • Support system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements in collaboration with IT and finance teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with US GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and changes for audit and operational purposes.
  • Collaborate with key finance leaders to design operational accounting processes, while owning and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
  • Analyze and improve financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial close workflows.
  • Identify and implement automation tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Work with stakeholders to optimize procurement-to-pay and order-to-cash processes.
  • Ensure alignment between operational workflows and financial system capabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to identify and mitigate operational risks related to accounting systems and processes.
  • Assist in designing approval workflows, segregation of duties, and system access controls to prevent errors and fraud.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and insights into control mechanisms.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the accounting function, including process efficiency, accuracy, and compliance metrics.
  • Develop and implement individual team member performance metrics to assess productivity and effectiveness.
  • Design reporting dashboards and scorecards for real-time visibility into accounting operations.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to leadership to support process improvements and performance management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set performance targets and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Serve as the key liaison between accounting, finance, IT, and operations teams to align systems with business needs.
  • Provide training and support to accounting and operational teams on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Assist with external and internal audits by providing system-related documentation and process insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CMA, or ERP certification (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday) is a plus.
  • Experience with process automation tools (Alteryx, UiPath, or similar) is a plus.
