Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
- 5 years recent relevant experience, including Commercial Real Estate accounting
- In-depth working knowledge of accounting and/or finance
- In-depth working knowledge of financial analysis and reporting methodologies
- In-depth working knowledge of data warehousing and relational database systems
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of FASB Lease Accounting
- Knowledge of policies, practices and procedures
- Familiarity with Commercial Lease Contracts
- Familiarity with performance metrics and ability to meet identified targets
- Familiarity with Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) Chart of Accounts is preferred
- General understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems enabling technologies (e.g. contact center technologies) is beneficial
- Ability to learn new applications/software systems effectively and efficiently
- Ability to translate data analysis into suitable reports for presentation
- Ability to perform data analysis on complex data sets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
- Reviews financial statements and reporting requirements across the organization
- Identifies and interprets financial trends, income statement variances and events that impact financial performance or reporting
- Corrects and guides other team members as to reporting and audit needs; provides direction and training as needed for procedures, new programs, or processes
- Communicates frequently with team leads, department leaders and other employees to explain reports
- Performs various financial related analysis, reporting and validation of Real Estate Lease obligations, as well as financial reporting for Real Estate Owned Assets
- Will interface with leadership, including department managers, directors and administrative teams as well as liaise with various accounting departments within Sutter Health
- This position works independently, yet collaboratively with the Lease Administration Managers and department in the administration of all financial reporting aspects for Sutter Health’s real estate portfolio
- This position will also complete CAM Reconciliations for owned assets; audit CAM Reconciliations from 3rd Party Landlords, including interpretations as to the accuracy and compliance of such billings in accordance with the Lease contract; and manage the tracking program for the CAM review
Preferred Qualifications
