Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ years in commercial insurance account management or a directly related client service role
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership, supervision, or a senior mentoring capacity (1-3 years preferred with proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a team of client service professionals)
- Must hold an active Property & Casualty (P&C) General Lines License or commit to obtaining one
Responsibilities
- Supervise, guide, mentor, and develop a team of Account Representatives to ensure role expectations, client service standards, and business objectives are met
- Effectively coach and develop team members through regular feedback, performance check-ins, and input into annual performance reviews
- Oversee workload distribution, monitor team workflows, and manage staffing capacity to ensure adequate coverage and build talent bench strength; Serve as an escalation point for complex client issues or internal challenges faced by the team
- Foster a vibrant, collaborative, and inclusive team culture
- Actively engage in the onboarding and training process for Account Representatives, ensuring foundational understanding of Marsh systems, the renewal life cycle, and client service best practices
- Contribute to and oversee process improvement efforts within the team
- Directly manage a select portfolio of client accounts, performing Account Representative duties
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal business partners (e.g., Account Executives, Brokers, Placement, Operations); Lead and/or participate in stakeholder engagement sessions to improve client experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of commercial Property & Casualty insurance products, the renewal lifecycle, and market dynamics
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively for self and team
- Client service mindset: providing exceptional service, responding to questions promptly, being attentive to client needs, and the ability to handle difficult client discussions
