Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in perishable food sales.
- Proven track record in perishable food sales, with a current retail customer base.
- Located in the Central US/Midwest, preferably.
- Strong understanding of the US retail grocery market.
- Proven ability to grow and retain accounts through excellent customer service.
- Effective negotiator with the ability to secure accounts.
- Clear communicator – written, verbal and in-person.
- A team player with a positive attitude, who’s tenacious and resilient.
- A natural ability to connect and build relationships with people at all levels.
- The ability to represent Sensei Ag with integrity, promoting the company’s story and mission.
Responsibilities
- Identify sales opportunities with major grocery chains and big-box retailers.
- Successfully develop new customer growth through strategic prospecting.
- Qualify leads using company-set parameters.
- Develop a successful sales strategy for customer development, retention, and growth.
- Provide pricing and quotes, adhering to company guidelines.
- Forecast customer demands, utilizing a 5-week advance forecasting model.
- Have the drive to meet and exceed sales goals, resulting in bonuses.
- Travel up to 50% of the time for meetings, trade shows, and other events.
- Being aware of market trends, new opportunities, competition and risks.
