Requirements
- Must be able to manage the sales process and drive profitable sales growth within an assigned sales territory.
- Must develop and execute sales plans utilizing Airgas’s sales directives and guidelines.
- Must qualify and pursue sales leads and cultivate customer relationships.
- Must prepare sales proposals by quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimated date of delivery.
- Must keep current with industry insights and monitor competition.
- Must maintain and submit sales reports as required by District Manager through SAP.
- Must actively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances.
Responsibilities
- Manage the sales process and drive profitable sales growth within an assigned sales territory.
- Develop and execute sales plans utilizing Airgas’s sales directives and guidelines.
- Qualify and pursue sales leads.
- Cultivate customer relationships by developing a deep knowledge of the customer’s business.
- Engage customers by linking the customer’s business priorities to the Airgas value proposition.
- Prepare sales proposals by quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimated date of delivery.
- Keep current with industry insights and monitor competition.
- Partner with internal resources to accomplish growth objectives.
- Establish and maintain clear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments.
- Maintain and submit sales reports as required by District Manager through SAP.
- Actively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Employee may be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time including sitting in an automobile for long periods of time.
- Employee may occasionally be required to transverse through office and/or manufacturing locations.
- Employee will frequently be required to actively listen and exchange information.
- Employee will be required to observe and assess information received via computer.
- Requires frequent use of computer, telephone and operation of a motor vehicle.
- May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Frequent local travel (75% of work time).
- Minimal overnight travel.
- Must have reliable, appropriate transportation.
