Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of related work experience
Responsibilities
- Assessing defects in composite structure, interrogating the analysis for structural margin impacts and documenting the results
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment
- Verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
- Works under general direction
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Commercial airplanes structural analysis experience
- Boeing analysis tools (Common Structures Workstation, IAS, CATIA and ENOVIA)
- Experience with composites/composite analysis
