Requirements
- B.Eng., M.S., or Ph.D. (preferred) in Electrical Engineering (or similar / equivalent)
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience in the field of standardization, wireless communications, machine learning, signal processing and/or protocol design
- Experience and/or knowledge of 3GPP standards, preferably also with standards processes including those related to RAN WG1, WG2
- Strong analytical, technical, innovative and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative and team-oriented work environment
- Dedicated, result oriented professional with an attitude for getting the work done
- Willing to take challenges in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
Responsibilities
- Contribute to research and standardization of advanced radio interfaces and protocols for future 3GPP wireless technologies
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions addressing the challenges of future wireless systems focusing on the design of physical radio layer techniques (RAN1) and/or medium access and radio resource control functions (RAN2)
- Carry out physical layer and/or system-level design for 6G features and beyond
- Conduct evaluation, analysis, and development of innovative solutions for control and transfer of user data at L1/PHY, L2/MAC, L3/RRC protocol layers and/or using AI/ML-based techniques
- Actively participate in the 3GPP standardization process through the preparation of contributions and through representing InterDigital in 3GPP RAN Working Group (WG) meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) and other Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies may be considered an advantage
- Experience with project management can be considered an advantage
