Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of two years’ experience inspecting materials and mechanical parts used in the manufacturing
- Ability to interpret and extract necessary information per production travelers, drawings (blue prints), procedures, specifications, and industrial standards
- Familiar with ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
- Ability to work in a fast pace, dynamic manufacturing, shop floor environment
- Excellent interpersonal relations, customer service, and written/oral communication skills
- Possesses excellent organizational skills
- Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated
- Works with limited supervision and independently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Performs product/system inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process
- Maintain necessary records
- Maintain inspection tools and working area in a clean safe and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Perform receiving inspection (Purchased parts), in-process inspection (both internal and external parts), and final inspection (assemblies, sub-assemblies, and/or final skids)
- Making sure all receiving parts (both purchased and in-process) have the documentation and certifications required for the project
- File all incoming documents from vendors and distribute in a timely manner
- Keep track of all due dates of documents due back to vendors
- Prepare and send Document Transmittals to customers for new and revised drawings, manuals, and other documents
- Notify project managers about released drawings that need to be sent to the customer
- Complete Drawings and Parts List portion of the OMM by gathering needed drawings and LMs
- Assemble VDB and OMM and send to the customer via shared site and hard copy
- Performs administrative and clerical task when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or vocational training in mechanical inspection, manufacturing technology or related field desirable
- Ability to set up, maintain, and use varieties of inspection hand tools (caliper, mic, bore gages, rings & plug gages, profilometer, coating thickness gage, comparator, sine bar…etc.) is desirable but not required
- Working experience on pump, turbo expander industry and/or cryogenic industry is desirable but not required
