Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in preparing and analyzing financial information
  • Knowledge of SEC reporting, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, Proxy and XBRL
  • Advanced accounting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Accrual based accounting practices
  • Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels

Responsibilities

  • Uses financial reporting accounting software to prepare SEC filings (Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Proxy and Form 8-K, including XBRL)
  • Prepares reports of financial information for management
  • Prepares external reporting for SEC related disclosures
  • Supports the Investor Relations team in the preparation of investor presentations and information for the Board of Directors
  • Researches and makes recommendations to resolve unusual or irregular transactions
  • Responds to internal/external auditor request and inquiries and coordinates with internal and external auditors on accounting issues
  • Researches issues regarding SEC disclosures of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Follow new and emerging SEC reporting accounting guidance, as well as evaluate potential impacts on reporting
  • Support and facilitate implementation of SEC reporting disclosures
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency in processing or analyzing financial information
  • Facilitate implementation of changes to the financial statements and SEC Filings, as required
  • Provide additional ad-hoc support across financial reporting and performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
  • Assists with implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of systems and tools used to support SEC filings and internal reporting
