Senior Accountant – SEC Reporting

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in preparing and analyzing financial information
Knowledge of SEC reporting, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, Proxy and XBRL
Advanced accounting concepts, practices and procedures
Accrual based accounting practices
Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Ability to implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels

Uses financial reporting accounting software to prepare SEC filings (Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Proxy and Form 8-K, including XBRL)
Prepares reports of financial information for management
Prepares external reporting for SEC related disclosures
Supports the Investor Relations team in the preparation of investor presentations and information for the Board of Directors
Researches and makes recommendations to resolve unusual or irregular transactions
Responds to internal/external auditor request and inquiries and coordinates with internal and external auditors on accounting issues
Researches issues regarding SEC disclosures of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Follow new and emerging SEC reporting accounting guidance, as well as evaluate potential impacts on reporting
Support and facilitate implementation of SEC reporting disclosures
Identifies and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency in processing or analyzing financial information
Facilitate implementation of changes to the financial statements and SEC Filings, as required
Provide additional ad-hoc support across financial reporting and performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Assists with implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of systems and tools used to support SEC filings and internal reporting
