Requirements
- A doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited university conferred by hire date
- An unencumbered RN license in the state of Louisiana
- Two years clinical experience as an RN
- Must be committed to working with diversity
Responsibilities
- Teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as needed
- Demonstrate activities that encourage interaction with students, faculty, and the community
- Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publishing, and presenting
- Provide service to the University through committee work and participation in special projects
- Provide service to students through academic and career guidance and support of student activities
- Provide service to the community utilizing professional knowledge and expertise
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience
- APRN Certification
- Proficient computer skills (i.e., word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
