Requirements
- Current license as an Athletic Trainer in state of practice
- National athletic trainer certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Experience in a variety of computer programs including databases, word processing, and internet
Responsibilities
- Acting as a physician extender and assessing patients for therapy modifications
- Developing and demonstrating rehabilitation programs
- Monitoring and educating patients on their treatment and health needs
- Coordinating care with other providers and completing necessary documentation
- Maintaining and inspecting equipment, and engaging in community programs
- Addressing patient questions and performing various patient care duties
- Assisting with procedures, concussion treatments, and obtaining prior authorizations
- Supporting outreach ATCs with proper documentation
