Requirements

  • 15+ years of broad compliance and ethics experience, DOJ experience preferred.
  • JD required with active Bar membership, CCEP, CCEP-I and/or CRCM preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the DOJ Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs and global third party risk management experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience with FCPA and other anti-bribery and corruption laws.
  • Knowledge and experience with privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA / CPRA.
  • Understanding of trade sanctions screening best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide high-quality work in a timely manner.
  • Efficient, effective, and well organized.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Bloom Energy’s global business operations and advise business leadership on risk mitigation activities under the global compliance and ethics program.
  • Drive timely and effective execution of compliance and regulatory risk assessments.
  • Drive collaboration and build relationships between the risk, compliance, and ethics team and various stakeholders within Bloom Energy and serve as a champion of the compliance and ethics program.
  • Support the development and execution of compliance-related training and communication programs.
  • Lead the third party risk management program.
  • Support compliance with global privacy statutes and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Lead investigations and monitor resulting remediation actions.
  • Review trade sanctions and adverse media alerts.
  • Develop and update compliance and ethics policies and procedures.
  • Conduct monitoring and testing activities.
  • Review policy exceptions and approval requests.
  • Maintain regulatory obligations matrices.
  • Participate in special projects and broad company initiatives.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the risk, compliance and ethics function.
  • Work cross-functionally with Internal Audit, Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Installation Group, Service, Products, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cybersecurity knowledge and experience preferred.
