Requirements

  • Experience in databases, engineering, mining technology or IT
  • Ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
  • Hands-on experience with server setup, software installation, and system configuration
  • Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions
  • Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques
  • Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques

Responsibilities

  • Define mining site infrastructure, set up servers, install and configure MineStar products, and perform system upgrades with each new release
  • Embark on-site visits to mining locations, ensuring seamless implementation and upgrades
  • Drive customer recognition of the incredible value of our product features, improved processes, and change management
  • Enhance product-positioning knowledge for Caterpillar and provide invaluable feedback on product features and benefits
  • Identify and document job/application profiles based on real-world observations while working directly with customers
  • Elevate the industry’s perception of Caterpillar and actively participate in related mining associations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Cat MineStar System knowledge
  • Previous Experience working with database management (SQL Server)
  • Linux administration / VM admin/docker skills
  • Knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages; computing hardware, software, infrastructure elements, and current development processes and tools
  • Knowledge of mining Fleet Technology, Caterpillar policies, procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization
