Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in software development
- Strong experience with the frontend framework and technologies including React, Typescript, and Next.js
- Strong experience with Python or a similar language and SQL
- Solid communication skills with cross-functional team members and mentoring junior engineers
- A track record of building systems with attention to detail, high reliability, and high throughput
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent
Responsibilities
- Help scale and expand capabilities of Patreon’s payment platform that helps creators get paid effectively and on time, every time
- Contribute to the development and design of the Payments platform and tools to support the payment processing at Patreon
- Advocate for best patterns and practices in the areas of system design, performance, observability and testing
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build new functionality, while maintaining a delightful user experience, motivated by passion for our shared mission
- Work with frontend frameworks and technologies including React, Typescript, and Next.js
- Work with Java, Python, Flask, Spring Boot, MySQL, and AWS on the backend, introducing other technologies when it makes sense
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building products in the payments domain is a plus, but not a strict requirement for this role
