Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in Organizational Design, Effectiveness, or Operating Model Transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver org design changes, not just assess or recommend.
  • Proven experience leading design and delivery in healthcare, SaaS, or regulated/high-growth industries.
  • Deep knowledge of organizational design frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Galbraith Star, Operating Model Canvas, McKinsey 7S).
  • Strong understanding of AI’s impact on job design, structure, and organizational maturity models.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complexity into clear recommendations and executable plans.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to assess the financial implications of org design choices.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Organizational Psychology, Business, or related discipline preferred.
  • Certification in Org Design (e.g., Kates Kesler, OrgVue, OTM) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead org design efforts across business units to align structures, capabilities, roles, and spans with enterprise strategy and transformation goals.
  • Act as a thought partner to C-suite and VP+ leaders on how to adapt structures to drive AI-enabled performance, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Translate business strategies, growth targets, and AI roadmaps into executable organizational design solutions.
  • Build implementation roadmaps with clear sequencing, resource implications, and timelines.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to guide execution of new designs, including role transitions, team setup, and onboarding into new structures.
  • Embed execution support tools, change enablers, and feedback loops to ensure successful and lasting adoption.
  • Support capability development for leaders and managers to operate effectively within redesigned structures, especially where AI or automation is involved.
  • Assess where AI, automation, and digital workflows can be embedded in structures, accountabilities, and processes.
  • Map AI organizational archetypes (e.g., AI-Aware, AI-Augmented) to functions and roles to guide design recommendations.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure organizational structures reflect the evolving roles, capabilities, and oversight needed to scale AI maturity across the enterprise.
  • Assess governance, decision rights, cross-functional workflows, and collaboration pain points.
  • Redesign structures and operating models that improve agility, reduce complexity, and enable efficient scaling—especially in AI-enabled or tech-powered areas.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Operations, and HR teams to align people, processes, and platforms.
  • Define and monitor organizational health metrics (e.g., span of control, cost-to-serve, capability density).
  • Build scenarios that model future-state impacts of design choices on cost, efficiency, and capability.
  • Partner with Finance and Strategy to ensure org design changes support strategic and financial outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s in Organizational Psychology, Business, or related discipline preferred.
  • Certification in Org Design (e.g., Kates Kesler, OrgVue, OTM) is an asset.
