Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a CNA program is required
- Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina
- Must be current on the Nurse Aide Registry if certified
- Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking
- Change bed linens and assist with patient transportation to tests and procedures
- Serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment
- Record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse
