Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Business Administration, or related field and 4 years of experience as a Corporate Banker, Structured Finance Specialist, Corporate and Project Finance expert, Sr Relationship Manager, Sr Financial Analyst, or related position involving corporate finance expertise in global emerging markets
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 6 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience
  • Full term of experience must include: Structuring risk management, alternative funding and illiquid asset monetization solutions through analyzing corporates’ financials, sovereigns’ budgets and funding plans
  • Project finance, including identification of relevant project finance and off-balance sheet financing structures to fund state owned enterprises and Sovereign’ capex plans including infrastructure and energy projects
  • Structuring debt and equity capital solutions that include preferred shares, subordinated debt and mezzanine financing
  • Restructuring for public sector clients including sovereigns, sub-sovereigns and corporates in distress or facing financial challenges
  • Knowledge in derivatives products that help clients navigate shocks, especially related to currencies and commodities market

Responsibilities

  • Pitching solutions on effective funding and risk management for public sector clients (PSC) within Citi’s Global Sovereign Advisory & Solutions Unit
  • Work with governments, state owned enterprises, central banks and development banks to structure balance-sheet-efficient solutions
  • Help Sovereigns on debt sustainability and navigating market shocks by proposing risk management solutions to address exposures to interest rate, currency and commodity prices
  • Employ corporate finance expertise to solve challenges and constraints related to state-owned enterprises and energy transition financing and identifying relevant solutions across different products
  • Navigate through the various financing constraints and high credit exposure typically found in emerging markets and leveraging on the extensive experience in those types of markets and proposing innovative financing structures such as debt-for-sustainability swaps
  • Co-structure off-balance sheet financing solutions for Sovereign and Sub-sovereign to fund strategic projects
  • Structure limited, non-recourse and carbon credit-linked financing solutions
  • Analyze credit portfolios that can be securitized
  • Work in partnership with the various product and industry groups in the firm to source and originate solutions for complex client challenges
