Requirements
- TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in materials management, warehousing, or production planning.
- Working knowledge of: Materials Management and Warehousing Operations, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, Inventory control practices and material movement procedures.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and production schedules to determine raw material needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for coordination within teams and across departments.
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision and solve moderately complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, log, and track classified and sensitive materials scheduled for destruction.
- Operate specialized destruction equipment (e.g., shredders, disintegrators) per agency-approved methods and standards.
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody records and destruction logs to ensure full accountability.
- Follow and enforce destruction schedules, internal controls, and safety protocols.
- Support audits, security inspections, and material control reviews related to destruction activities.
- Safely store and transport materials within restricted areas or SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities).
- Coordinate with Facility Security Officers (FSOs), Material Managers, and Security Representatives to maintain compliance and resolve issues.
- Train and mentor new personnel on proper procedures for secure material handling and destruction.
- Assist with material control tasks such as inventory reconciliation, packaging, labeling, and classified media disposition.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Materials Management Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Experience in material selection based on performance, cost, and production requirements.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with lean inventory or just-in-time (JIT) practices.
- Basic understanding of safety and regulatory standards in warehouse environments.
