Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related and 3+ years’ experience in a software QA role with a proven track record of delivering high quality products to customers
  • Extensive knowledge of software QA methodologies, common testing tools/test case management tools, and processes; able to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Software development experience in Python or similar languages, with test automation tools like pytest and Allure and integration in CI (Continuous Integration) pipelines
  • Knowledge of API testing and network communication technologies including HTTP and MQTT
  • Strong quality and collaboration mindset with passion for delivering the best Smart Home product experiences
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and assess quality risks to define the appropriate test strategy and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing and release activities in an agile development environment.
  • Implement tests and automated test cases; analyze test results to assure quality of existing and new functionalities.
  • Define the test automation strategy and develop CI/CD test automation frameworks to support new product launches.
  • Document, investigate and communicate defects discovered during test implementation.
  • Assess quality status of our products through data analytics, issue reports in beta and continuously improve by refining our QA processes and test coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience testing Smart Home Security products such as cameras with software interactions between devices running embedded Linux, AWS cloud services, and iOS/Android mobile applications.
