Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, Folder Redirection, Roaming Profiles
- Linux/Unix Systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Office 365, Azure AD, Exchange, and cloud-based identity management
- AWS and Azure cloud services
- VMware/Hyper-V virtualization platforms
- Network protocols and services: DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP, VOIP
- Experience with SNMP, WMI, and systems monitoring
- PowerShell, Ansible, Python scripting for automation
- Backup and redundancy tools: Veeam, SolarWinds, native cloud backups
- IT documentation and knowledge base management
Responsibilities
- Own and resolve high-level technical issues with a customer-first mindset
- Proactively monitor, maintain, and optimize client network and infrastructure environments
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide Tier III escalation support across systems, networks, and applications
- Manage and monitor Windows and Linux systems, including configuration, performance tuning, and system hardening
- Write and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible to automate routine tasks
- Support system availability, backups, redundancy, and security strategies (Veeam, SolarWinds, AWS, Azure)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely issue resolution
- Maintain detailed documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles
- Participate in the design, implementation, and support of operational systems and support tooling
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle
- Manage ticket queues and SLA expectations with precision
- Perform off-hours or weekend work as required in a 24/7 operational environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure Fundamentals or Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- VMware or Red Hat certifications
- ITIL Foundation
